Brian Bahe

Comedian

Brian Bahe (he/him) is an Indigenous (Tohono O’odham Nation, Hopi, Navajo) comedian and writer originally from Phoenix, Arizona, now based in Los Angeles.

He was a New Face at the 2022 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival. He is a writer for the show The Great North on FOX. He taped a standup set for Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Featuring. He headlined Caroline’s on Broadway. His animated comedy pilot Decolonize was selected for the 2022 Indigenous List, which is a collaboration between The Blacklist, the Sundance Institute, and IllumiNative. His writing has appeared in McSweeney’s. He was featured in NPR, Vulture, and The Los Angeles Times. He was one of IllumiNative’s “25 Native American Comedians to Follow in 2020.” He was profiled in the book We Had a Little Real Estate Problem: The Unheralded Story of Native Americans & Comedy.

He hosts the kinda-monthly standup show Star Fuckers: Astrology But Make It Comedy at UCB Franklin. He performed his stand-up solo show titled Reading From My Phone in both New York and Los Angeles.

He graduated from Arizona State University with degrees in English and Psychology (mostly including this so people know ASU is actually ok).
