Internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor ALOK will be in conversation with stand-up comedian and actor Ilana Glazer to discuss how being multifaceted and ‘living out of tune’ makes us beautiful, provocative, and powerful.

Educator Discounts
Full-time teachers are invited to purchase $30 discounted tickets, subject to availability. A current school ID (elementary through high school; college/university) must be presented at the time of ticket pick-up. One school ID is valid for up to four tickets per event, and applicable transaction fees will be applied to each purchase.
ALOK
Alok (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor. Alok’s literary works Beyond the Gender Binary, Femme in Public, and Your Wound, My Garden, have garnered global recognition. Their dynamic presence has captivated audiences in over 40 countries, with sold-out shows at venues including Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, headlining numerous Just for Laughs festivals and most recently Netflix is a Joke festival in Los Angeles. Alok can currently be seen in Hannah Gadsby’s Gender Agenda comedy special on Netflix and they took center stage at the Netflix is a Joke Festival in May 2024. Their show has been described as “provocative and powerful” (Chortle) and a “jaw-dropping celestial event” (To Do List London).
Ilana Glazer
Ilana Glazer is a comedian, actor, advocate, and creator who co-created and co-starred in the critically acclaimed series Broad City. She co-wrote and starred in the film False Positive, produced by A24 and available on Hulu. She was cast in the film Rough Night and The After Party for Apple TV+. Ilana is the co-founder of the non-profit Generator Collective, which defines minimal civic engagement and aims to humanize policy. Babes, which she co-wrote, co-stars in, and produced, was released this year with Neon. Ilana was recently on tour for Ilana Glazer Live, performing stand-up comedy across the USA and Canada. Her latest standup special, Human Magic, premieres on Hulu and Disney+ worldwide on December 20, 2024.
